George T. Sinas received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Michigan and his law degree from Wayne State University Law School. He is a past President of the Michigan Association for Justice (formerly the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association) and a past Chairperson of the State Bar Negligence Law Section. For almost all of his career, Mr. Sinas has dedicated his practice to the representation of seriously injured people and their medical providers, particularly in cases involving motor vehicle injury.
Over the years, Mr. Sinas has received a number of professional honors and awards. In 2017, he was recognized by Leading Lawyers as a "Top 10 Personal Injury Lawyer" in Michigan — one of only two attorneys outside the Detroit area to be recognized as such. In 2017, Leading Lawyers also recognized Mr. Sinas as a "Top 10 Consumer Lawyer" in Michigan. In 2015, Michigan Defense Trial Counsel presented Mr. Sinas with its annual "Most Respected Advocate Award." In 2014, he was named the "Champion of Justice" by the Michigan Association for Justice. In 2013, Mr. Sinas was named the "Michigan Lawyer of the Year" by Michigan Lawyers Weekly. In 2005, he received the "Legacy Society Professional Service Award" from the Michigan Brain Injury Association for his work representing the victims of serious brain injury. In 2003, Mr. Sinas received the Ingham County Bar Association "Leo A. Farhat Outstanding Attorney Award." Mr. Sinas has also been recognized in every edition of the Best Lawyers in America since 1989 in the field of plaintiff’s personal injury litigation. In 2009 and again in 2014, Mr. Sinas was named the "Lansing, Michigan Personal Injury Litigator of the Year" by Best Lawyers in America, becoming the first Lansing attorney in his specialty to earn this honor.
Mr. Sinas has authored two textbooks and numerous articles on the Michigan Auto No-Fault Law and has served as an Adjunct Professor at the Michigan State University College of Law teaching that particular subject. He also serves as General Counsel for the Coalition Protecting Auto No-Fault (CPAN), a broad-based coalition of 25 major medical and consumer groups who represent major stakeholders in the Michigan auto no-fault insurance system.
Throughout the years, Mr. Sinas has been involved in a number of significant precedent-setting legal cases that have played an important role in shaping auto injury law in the state of Michigan.
