Stephen Moore is a corporate lawyer whose practice is devoted to the representation of hospitals, clinics, physicians and other health care providers in corporate and regulatory matters. He also offers corporate law counsel to businesses, financial institutions, municipalities and school districts.

Mr. Moore is co-chair of Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP's national Health Care Specialty practice group and Director of the firm's Western Illinois Region. He joined the firm in March 1984 and served as Partner in Charge of the Rockford office for many years until appointed Regional Director in 2005.
Following graduation from law school, Mr. Moore served as an Assistant Attorney General of the Iowa Department of Justice, and law clerk to the Chief Justice of the Iowa Supreme Court.
Bar/Professional Association Involvement:
Among his numerous professional activities, Mr. Moore has served on the Board of Directors of the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys and as Chairman of the Business Law Section of the Winnebago County Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Health Lawyers Association.
Mr. Moore has been recognized by his peers as a Leading Lawyer in the category of Health Law. He holds the highest rating from Martindale-Hubbell for ethics and legal ability, and in 2005 was named as a "Super Lawyer" in the area of Health Care Law by Illinois Super Lawyers magazine.
Mr. Moore's extensive community activities reflect the health care emphasis of his legal practice. He is a member and past president of the advisory board of Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, Illinois. Mr. Moore has served on the Board of Directors of Northern Illinois Hospice Association, and he previously served on the Board of Directors and was President of Crusaders Health Foundation and Rock River Valley Blood Center. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors and President of the River District Association, an organization dedicated to the continued revitalization of Rockford's downtown.
Mr. Moore has spoken at the annual meetings of the American Health Lawyers Association, the Annual Health Law Symposium of the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys, the American Association for Clinical Chemistry, Inc. and the Great Lakes Region Airport Conference sponsored by the Federal Aviation Administration.
He has also made presentations at conferences sponsored by the Illinois Institute for Continuing Legal Education, and at several seminars attended by hospital medical staffs, nursing staffs and administrators.
