Mr. Devens has more than 30 years of experience in the areas of workers' compensation, personal injury (predominantly for plaintiffs), product liability, and medical negligence. He has represented injured workers and victims of negligence across the state of Illinois, concentrating his practice in Vermilion, Kankakee, and Champaign counties.

Bar/Professional Association Involvement: Chuck Devens was the recipient of the 2007 Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award from the University of Illinois College of Law. He is a member of the Vermilion County Bar Association and is the past president of the Vermilion County Bar Association. Chuck is also a member of the American Association for Justice, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, the Million Dollar Advocates Forum, and the Illinois State Bar Association. He is also a member of the Workers' Compensation section of the ITLA.
Community Involvement: Chuck has worked closely with the Department of Commerce and Community Affairs, along with community colleges and local unions, in conducting seminars for displaced workers across East-Central Illinois. He is a board member and Chairman of the Vermilion County Airport Authority. Chuck Devens is a board member of the Danville YFRC (formerly YWCA). He is a past member and past vice-president of the Danville Women's Shelter Board. Chuck has served as the city attorney for Georgetown, Illinois, for more than 15 years. He has also coached youth baseball and soccer teams in the Danville area.
Legal Lectures: Chuck has lectured at ITLA seminars on trial preparation and has taught numerous classes on workers compensation for union representatives and safety councils.
