| Practice Description: |
With more than 40 years of experience practicing law in Illinois, John T. Phipps is able to bring creative solutions to clients' problems. One size does not fit all, so we listen to our clients and learn about their case and provide personalized representation to each client. Our work is designed to fit each client’s specific needs.
Because his experience covers so many practice areas, Mr. Phipps brings a "big picture" perspective to clients’ problems.
Other lawyers look to Mr. Phipps for guidance in the fields of family law and civil litigation. He gives continuing legal education lectures to lawyers, edits a newsletter read by many Illinois attorneys, and has published more than 100 articles or book chapters on a variety of legal topics. Most recently, Mr. Phipps wrote the chapter on "Modification of Support and Maintenance in Divorce Cases" for the 2011 edition of the Illinois State Bar Association Family Law Handbook.
The Illinois State Bar Association has honored Mr. Phipps with numerous awards in acknowledgement of his contributions to clients and to the profession. He was named a Laureate of the ISBA Academy of Lawyers in 2007, an honor that also recognizes my services to clients. But his greatest reward is Mr. Phipps' ability to use his experience and knowledge for the benefit of the people he represents.
Mr. Phipps has been recognized as both an Illinois Leading Lawyer and an Illinois Super Lawyer. He is also a leader in providing legal services to the disadvantaged through his work with Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation.
