The law firm of Kralovec, Jambois & Schwartz was founded in 1991 when William D. Maddux — the current Presiding Chief Judge of the Cook County Law Division — was first appointed as a judge and entrusted his respected firm to three accomplished trial lawyers. Judge Maddux selected a trio of attorneys whom he felt could foster and promote the high standards upon which he’d built his practice. These handpicked attorneys, John Kralovec, Steven Jambois and Allen Schwartz, have proudly carried on Judge Maddux’s legacy as aggressive and hard-working trial lawyers who diligently protect the rights of injury victims and their families.
Continuing the tradition of hard work and tenacity that the firm was built on, John Kralovec, Steve Jambois, and Allen Schwartz have each devoted their life’s work to the protection of the injured and their families. In the process they have established new law and used medical malpractice litigation to compel doctors and hospitals to provide safer conditions for their patients. As leaders in the areas of personal injury, wrongful death and medical malpractice, KJS attorneys have helped to shape Illinois law while securing hundreds of millions of dollars in compensation for their clients.
Today, after decades of record breaking success, Kralovec, Jambois & Schwartz consists of more than 20 trial attorneys who advocate on behalf of injury victims throughout Illinois. Known for taking on difficult cases and exhibiting a tough, no-nonsense approach with insurance companies, KJS has earned the reputation as a leading firm in the greater Chicago area and throughout the Midwest.
