Richard T. Sikes, Jr. is an experienced, lead trial and appellate attorney who focuses on the representation of railroads and other players in the transportation industry, defense of civil rights claims, and general liability. Mr. Sikes began his career as an Assistant State's Attorney (ASA) in Cook County, IL, where he prosecuted 49 felony jury cases to verdict, including several capital cases, and argued four cases before the Illinois Supreme Court. In private practice since 1989, Mr. Sikes, has handled trials and appeals in numerous areas including: general liability matters for railroads; defense of civil rights, asbestos, and medical and psychiatric malpractice claims; defamation; criminal defense; and, general commercial litigation.
