David P. Radelet is a founding partner of Franczek Radelet PC. Throughout his distinguished legal career, Mr. Radelet has focused exclusively on representing private sector employers in all aspects of labor and employment law in numerous locations throughout the country. Mr. Radelet's practice within the labor and employment field is broad-based, and includes many years of experience in union-related issues, employment litigation, and general employment matters.
Notable Cases and Results:
In union-related matters, Mr. Radelet has represented management in scores of union organizing and decertification elections, unfair labor practice or other NLRB proceedings, collective bargaining negotiations, and arbitration proceedings. Mr. Radelet has also amassed substantial experience in assisting mature union-represented employers in developing and implementing next-generation business strategies for new product development, complexity reduction, facility shutdown or relocation, and other essential strategic initiatives, with due regard for applicable legal and contractual obligations.
In employment-related litigation, Mr. Radelet has represented employers before state and federal courts, the EEOC, and numerous state fair employment agencies in cases alleging employment discrimination, sexual harassment, breach of express or implied contract, and enforcement of no-compete or other restrictive covenants. Mr. Radelet co-represented a Fortune 100 company in a massive declaratory class action in federal court relating to a $1 billion reduction in retiree health benefits affecting nearly 100,000 retirees and dependents in 49 states.

Mr. Radelet has provided general employment counseling and representation to employers on a myriad of employment matters such as drafting and enforcing employment contracts and restrictive covenants, developing employee handbooks and policy manuals, strategizing asset transfers, structuring indirect service relationships, and numerous issues raised by employment statutes such as the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Civil Rights Act of 1991, the Family and Medical Leave Act, and many others.
Prior to forming Franczek Radelet PC, Mr. Radelet was a partner at Wildman Harrold Allen & Dixon (1988-1993), and also previously practiced at Matkov Salzman Madoff & Gunn (1983-1987) and Seyfarth Shaw Fairweather & Geraldson (1981-1983).
He is past chair of the board of directors of Heartland Alliance for Human Needs & Human Rights, formerly known as Travelers & Immigrants Aid of Chicago.
