William M. Hannay leads our Antitrust and Trade Regulation practice group. He regularly represents corporations and individuals in civil and criminal antitrust matters, including class action litigation, mergers and acquisitions, compliance programs, grand jury investigations, and related intellectual property issues, as well as leading our firm's international practice. Mr. Hannay has led delegations of lawyers on international legal exchanges to virtually every continent.
He is the coauthor of Tying Arrangements: Practice Under Federal Antitrust, Patent and Banking Law (Bureau of National Affairs) and International Antitrust Enforcement (Bureau of National Affairs), as well as the author of Designing an Effective Antitrust Compliance Program (West Publishing) and International Trade: Avoiding Criminal Risks (Butterworth Legal Publishers). He is a contributing editor to Antitrust Counseling and Litigation Techniques (Matthew Bender), a coauthor/editor of A Lawyer's Guide to Doing Business in South Africa (American Bar Association), and a coauthor of the Insurance Antitrust Handbook (American Bar Association).
Mr. Hannay served as a clerk to Mr. Justice Tom C. Clark, U.S. Supreme Court from 1974 to 1975 and to the Honorable Myron H. Bright, U.S. Court of Appeals, Eighth Circuit from 1973 to 1974.
