Mr. Cullen is a graduate of Loyola University and Loyola University School of Law. In addition to being an attorney with more than 42 years of experience in workers' compensation and personal injury law, he has served as chairman of the Chicago Plan Commission and as a member of Chicago's Zoning Board of Appeals. He was chairman of the Workers' Compensation Committee and the Legislative Committee of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, chairman of the Workers' Compensation Committee of the Illinois State Bar Association, and chairman of the Industrial Commission Committee of the Chicago Bar Association.
He served as trustee of the Illinois State Bar Association LAW-PAC. He serves on the advisory committee to the chairman of the Illinois Industrial Commission. He is a consultant to the Illinois State AFL-CIO on Workers' Compensation matters and he is listed in a recent edition of The Best Lawyers In America. He is on the board of managers of the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and he was the recipient of its prestigious Leonard Ring Award in 2002. He was the recipient of the 2001 Award of Excellence in the field of law from St. Ignatius High School.

The Law Firm of Cullen, Haskins, Nicholson & Menchetti, P.C. was originally founded by George J. Cullen in 1962 when he was a sole practitioner. In 1976, Charles G. Haskins, Jr. joined the firm. He was followed by Patrick B. Nicholson in 1979 and David B. Menchetti in 1986. John Powers joined the firm in 2001, followed by Jose M. Rivero in 2004 and Anita M. DeCarlo in 2006.
