Practice Description:
Ms. Christie has been a partner at Golan Christie Taglia since 1995. Her areas of concentration are:
  • Commercial real estate (all aspects, including development, leasing, construction, finance, acquisition, disposition, and deal structuring)
  • General corporate law
  • Businesses with environmental operations and challenges
Ms. Christie represents entrepreneurial, family-owned and middle market businesses.

Often, her representation of a particular client will begin with work regarding a sophisticated real estate transaction. Over time, the nature of the relationship expands to include many other areas of the client's legal needs due to her experience in a number of matters relating to business practice.

Her commercial real estate practice has involved all types of properties and uses, including retail, industrial/warehouse, apartments, mobile home parks and condominiums. Several of her clients have had transactions that posed complicated environmental issues, which has provided her with the opportunity to expand her knowledge of environmental law and its impact on business assets. Due to her expertise regarding real estate assets, she has represented a number of clients in the acquisition or disposition of businesses that owned significant or complex real estate. In addition, she has represented clients with multi-national business interests.

She spent a number of years working in large law firms with national practices and was a partner in such a firm before setting up her own practice in 1987. She has found that the smaller firm environment has enhanced her ability to provide a high level of personal service and care to clients seeking representation in complex business transactions.
